Origami lovers, rejoice!  Janis Couey will be hosting a crafting workshop three times in March, where everyone can learn how to make beautiful origami decorations.  It's easier than you think!

>Saturday, March 15th < |  Tuesday, March 18th  |  Monday, March 24th

"Kusudama (薬玉; kusuri (“medicine”) tama (“ball”), is a paper origami sphere that is created by gluing or sewing multiple identical folded units together. Originating from ancient Japanese culture, where they were used for aromatherapy originally made of flowers or herbs. Given as a gift to ailing friends or to family as a symbol of perseverance. They are now typically used as decorations, or as gifts.

I have been making kusudamas for 40 years. Making them as ornaments and for family weddings. I especially like the floral and traditional types."

Sign up using the blue button on this page (above or to the left).  Please bring your own scissors and glue, and origami paper if you wish - we will provide some paper though.

Email jmcouey@yahoo.com if you have questions, or need to cancel.

This event is free to the public, courtesy of the Pikes Peak Library District!  ️
